Caribbean Literary Salon

A meeting place for readers and writers

What a time it will be

To feel you

My eyes burn with pending tears

My heart grips

Joys grips it, anticipation grips it

Friend of mine, ol’ friend of mine

What a time it will be

To love you

You are the beginning that I tried to grasp for years

In my memory

You are the beginning of my experiences

Oh dear friend what a time, what a time it will be

….and I exhaled as my pending tears released themselves unto my chest

Reunions bring sorry and joy depending on the occasion. I wrote a poem entitled "Reunion" which is the gathering of long, not seen, family at a funeral.
